  • May 8 − President Obama delivers a commencement address for the graduating class at Lake Area Technical Institute, one of the top community colleges in the nation, in Watertown, South Dakota.[48]

  • May 13 – President Obama holds a bilateral meeting with Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef of Saudi Arabia and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia[50]
