These collegiate women's bowling teams compete as members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As of the most recent 2022–23 season, 101 NCAA member schools sponsored the sport.[1] The largest number of competing schools is found in Division II with 39; Division I has 37 and Division III has 25. The 2022–23 season was the last for two bowling-sponsoring schools. Division I St. Francis Brooklyn shut down its athletic program, and Division III Medaille closed entirely. The Medaille bowling team was effectively taken over by a nearby D-I school, Niagara, which added bowling for 2023–24, hired Medaille's former head coach, and took in many of that school's returning bowlers.[2] Three other schools added bowling for 2023–24: D-I Bethune–Cookman (which reinstated the sport after a three-year absence) and Jacksonville State, plus D-II Oklahoma Christian. Unlike in most sports for which the NCAA holds championships, one bowling championship is held, open to members of all three divisions.
As of the current 2023–24 NCAA bowling season, these schools sponsor a bowling team that is recognized by the NCAA. All institutions on this list are located within the United States. Conference affiliations reflect those for bowling, and do not necessarily match the schools' primary conferences.
