Pelecanidae

The Pelecanidae is a family of pelecaniform birds within the Pelecani that contains two genera: the extinct Eopelecanus and the extant Pelecanus. The family was monotypic until the description of Eopelecanus in 2021.[3]

Pelecanids have existed since the late Eocene (Priabonian)[3] and they still exist today.[4][5]
