List of Netherlands One Day International cricket records

One Day International (ODI) cricket is played between international cricket teams who are Full Members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) as well as the top four Associate members.[1] Unlike Test matches, ODIs consist of one inning per team, having a limit in the number of overs, currently 50 overs per innings – although in the past this has been 55 or 60 overs.[2] ODI cricket is List-A cricket, so statistics and records set in ODI matches also count in List-A cricket records. The earliest match recognised as an ODI was played between England and Australia in January 1971;[3] since when there have been over 4,000 ODIs played by 28 teams. This is a list of Netherlands Cricket team's One Day International records. It is based on the List of One Day International cricket records, but concentrates solely on records dealing with the Netherlands cricket team. Netherlands played its first ever ODI in 1996.

Result records edit

An ODI match is won when one side has scored more runs than the total runs scored by the opposing side during their innings. If both sides have completed both their allocated innings and the side that fielded last has the higher aggregate of runs, it is known as a win by runs. This indicates the number of runs that they had scored more than the opposing side. If the side batting last wins the match, it is known as a win by wickets, indicating the number of wickets that were still to fall.[23]
