  1. ^ Players who are still active for the national team are players who have not retired from international football and are, subsequently, eligible to be called up.
  1. ^ Agolli was named Albania's second acting captain under Gianni De Biasi for Euro 2016 after incumbent Lorik Cana was sent-off in the opening match of the tournament against Switzerland and so Agolli played the rest of this match as a captain and also two other remained group matches because Cana was suspended for the second match and in the third match Lorik Cana started from the bench.[36]
