The match was replayed on 4 July, after it was discovered Worcestershire had fielded an ineligible player, Kabir Ali, who had appeared for another team earlier in the tournament.[2]
Match was scheduled for one day but extended to two. When play was halted Gloucestershire needed to have scored 101 runs to win.
This was the first domestic English one-day final to be concluded by the use of the Duckworth–Lewis method
