Zlatá Koruna (German: Goldenkron) is a municipality and village in Český Krumlov District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 800 inhabitants.

Zlatá Koruna lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Český Krumlov, 16 km (10 mi) south-west of České Budějovice, and 137 km (85 mi) south of Prague.

Sights edit

Zlatá Koruna is known for the Cistercian Zlatá Koruna Monastery. It was founded in 1263 by Ottokar II of Bohemia. It is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in Bohemia.[2]
