History edit

Volunteers in Medicine was founded in 2001 in North Carolina. VIM was growing at a steady rate until partnering with The Dr Oz Show for an episode, after which the organization experienced rapid growth.[1][2]

In 2021, Volunteers in Medicine announced that it was moving its free clinic program to the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC).[3]
