Sagzabad

Segzabad or Segz Abad (Persian: سِگزآباد) (Tati: سِزجُوا, Sezjowa)[3] is a city in the Central District of Buin Zahra County, Qazvin province, Iran. Sagzabad is a Tati-speaking city.[4][5][6][7]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,953 in 1,324 households.[8] The following census in 2011 counted 5,440 people in 1,578 households.[9] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,492 people in 1,664 households.[2]

The 14th-century author Hamdallah Mustawfi listed Segzabad as one of the main villages in the territory of Qazvin.[10]
