Hesperis (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Hesperis (Ancient Greek: Ἑσπερίς Hesperís means 'evening')^[1] was (according to one account) the daughter of Hesperus, and the mother of the Hesperides by Atlas.^[2]

Because of her beauty she was also associated with Aphrodite.^{[citation needed]}
