Hesperis (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Hesperis (Ancient Greek: Ἑσπερίς Hesperís means 'evening')[1] was (according to one account) the daughter of Hesperus, and the mother of the Hesperides by Atlas.[2]

Because of her beauty she was also associated with Aphrodite.[citation needed]
