Founded in 1850 by Jesuit missionaries, its original name was Collège Saint Ignace (English: St. Ignatius High School). After the Chinese Civil War, St. Ignatius High School [zh] was moved and rebuilt in Luzhou, New Taipei City, Taiwan.
