Lt Col John David HillsMC* (1895–1975) was a British soldier.[1][2] He served with the Leicestershire Regiment during the First World War—his letters have been published online.[3] During the war he was awarded an MC and bar. After the war he read history at Oxford and worked as a teacher; he was master at Eton from 1921 to 1939, and headmaster of Bradfield College from 1940–1955.
