Cove was formerly a township in the parish of Bottesford,[1] in 1866 Yaddlethorpe became a separate civil parish,[2] on 24 March 1887 the parish was abolished and merged with Farnborough and Hawley.[3] In 1881 the parish had a population of 168.[4]
