Tengana Festival

Tengana Festival is an annual festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Tongo Traditional Area.^[1][2] It comprises Balungu, Winkongo and Pwalugu in the Upper East Region of Ghana.^[3][4] It is also a festival of the Talensis.^[5][6] It is celebrated in January.^[7]

Celebrations

During the festival, there is traditional music and dancing whiles there is also general merry-making.^[8][9]

Significance

This festival is a thanksgiving festival.^[10]
