It organizes charters for tour operators, sports teams, and VIP groups, particularly to US and Caribbean resorts. Its main bases are Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and San Francisco International Airport, with a hub at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.^[1]

On August 31, 2011, The Guardian reported that Sportsflight had been a major contractor for extraordinary rendition of suspected terrorists.^[2]

History

The company was established in 1994 and started operations in May 1994. It is wholly owned by its president, Donald Moss.^[1]
