Selene Vigil

Selene Here Vigil[1] (born July 16, 1965) is an American singer best known as the lead vocalist of the band 7 Year Bitch.[2]

Career edit

Vigil co-founded punk band 7 Year Bitch alongside Elizabeth Davis, Valerie Agnew and Stefanie Sargent in 1990; they released three studio albums before disbanding in 1997.[2]

In 2000, Vigil formed a gothic rock band, Cistine.[citation needed]

In 2009, Vigil was working as a Pilates instructor.[3]

In 2010, Vigil released her debut solo album, That Was Then.[4][5][6] In 2017, she released her second solo album, Tough Dance.[7]

Personal life edit

Vigil briefly dated former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan in the 1990s. In 2005 Vigil married Rage Against the Machine's drummer, Brad Wilk, with whom she had two children. They separated in 2013 after eight years of marriage.[8]
