An Act to consolidate certain enactments relating to prisons and other institutions for offenders and related matters with corrections and improvements made under the Consolidation of Enactments (Procedure) Act 1949.
Text of the Prison Act 1952 as in force today (including any amendments) within the United Kingdom, from legislation.gov.uk.
The act allows for the Secretary of State to make rules for the regulation and management of prisons, and for the classification, treatment, employment, discipline and control of persons required to be detained therein.[2]
