Life and career edit

Wielichowska's academic foundation is rooted in marketing, where she obtained her Master's degree from the Wrocław University of Economics in 1997. Her educational pursuits extended into postgraduate studies in journalism and information management at the University of Wrocław in 2005, managerial studies at her alma mater in 2007, and in 2012 further specialisation in road infrastructure management and financing at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.[3]

Her professional journey commenced in the municipal government of Nowa Ruda, where she was employed from 1997 to 2006, serving notably as an information policy inspector for eight years. Her responsibilities included overseeing the local government bulletin "Info Nowa Ruda," fostering collaborations with non-governmental organisations and directing the Municipal Information Centre. Additionally, between 2002 and 2007, Wielichowska was the director of Rebel Music, a company that supported various music bands and published their albums.

Politically, Wielichowska's career began with her association with the Civic Platform party in 2002, marking the start of her active involvement in local and national politics. Her political roles have included serving as a councillor in Kłodzko County from 2002 to 2006, where she was notable for her leadership in the Safety, Public Order, and Road Infrastructure Committee and participation in the Education, Culture, and Sport Committee. Her leadership was further exemplified in her tenure as starosta of the Kłodzko County.

Wielichowska secured her position in the Polish Sejm in 2007, embarking on a parliamentary career that saw her contribute significantly across various committees, including Infrastructure, Culture and Media, and Public Finance. She has been a vocal advocate for issues ranging from construction and spatial planning to road transport and the efficient use of European Union funds in infrastructure projects.

Her electoral achievements include a victory in the 2023 elections, where she was dubbed "Donald Tusk's right hand" and led the Civic Coalition list in the Wałbrzych district, amassing 52,182 votes.[4] She was elected Deputy Marshal of the Sejm on November 13, 2023. Wielichowska has been recognised through several awards, including the Silver Medal for Services to the Border Guard in 2015 and the Decoration of Honour of the Kłodzko County in 2019.
