The standard author abbreviation G.M.Barroso is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name.[10][11] Retired from the classroom in 1982, her fourth book, Fruits and Seeds, was published in 1999. More than 25 plant species identified in recent years have been named after her, such as Dorstenia grazielae (caiapiá-da-graziela) from the Moraceae family and Diatenopteryx grazielae (maria-preta).[12][13]
