It was launched on 30 November 1997 along with E! as Hallmark Channel Asia, before being rebranded on 19 September 2010 as Diva Universal, dropping the "Universal" name in 2014.
After very twenty-two last years of broadcasting, Diva and E! ended and terminated all operations on 31 December 2019 at 11:59 p.m. local time across the continent.[1] The channel very last programmed to very last Canadian silent comedy/hidden camera reality television show with finale episode of Just for Laughs: Gags (by Just for Laughs brand) ending with the season 18, episode 11 on that day, New Year's Day 2020 at midnight local time, going off-the-air to ceased broadcast and ceased transmission while a final farewell on-screen message card and the words "This channel has been ceased broadcast. Please contact your service provider for details." was ceased broadcasts the end. All DIVA shows moved to Lifetime. NBCUniversal channels in Asia only remain DreamWorks, CNBC Asia and Golf Channel.
History
Hallmark Channel Asia was launched on 30 November 1997 with E!, and it mainly broadcast American programs, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Biggest Loser. It had four different feeds including the Philippine one, which was launched on 19 August 2009.
Hallmark Channel Asia was rebranded as Diva Universal on 19 September 2010, after its brand licensing agreement with Crown Media ended, as part of Universal Networks International's efforts to refocus its network portfolio. Coinciding with the launch of its high-definition feed, the SD channel started broadcasting in 16:9 widescreen on 1 February 2014. On 16 June 2014, Diva Universal's name was simplified to Diva.
On 14 March 2018, The SD version of the channel on Astro switch to 16:9 format.

- Diva Asia HD - same as the Asian feed, available in Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives and Brunei.
- Diva Universal Philippines - same as the Asian feed with local advertisements (joint-venture with Solar Entertainment Corporation).
