Plot

Vetri is a young lawyer in Madurai who lives with his six sisters and their husbands. At the court, Vetri and his family witness a ruffian named Kodumpavi Ganesan stabbing a guy called Veeran who had threatened to kill Ganesan's adopted son named Deivam. Vetri gets upset that he could not do anything when Ganesan murdered Veeran in court. Vetri's brothers-in-law advise him not to get angry for the sake of his family. Pechi's husband tells Vetri about his parents' murder committed by Ganesan. Pechi and her husband are worried that Vetri might end up like his father. At a shopping mall, a person named Munna downblouses girls and harasses Vetri's niece.

Vetri's niece's friend Vanitha slaps Munna, who later kidnaps Vanitha. At the bus stand, Vanitha's friend Madhu sees Vanitha hugging random people. Later, Vanitha's father sees his daughter and laments over her state. Munna is labelled a sexual offender for assaulting Vanitha, where Munna and his father meet with Deivam to offer protection to Munna. Deivam and Kaalaiyan, Ganesan's right-hand man, persuade with the police to drop the case, but to no avail. Madhu and Vanitha's father meet Vetri, where Vanitha's father explains to Vetri that Munna took Vanitha to a warehouse, where she got drugged and assaulted by different men.

Vetri thrashes and warns Munna and Deivam. The following day, Vetri tries to meet with Vanitha's parents to take them to court, but Munna, Deivam and his men run over and kill Vanitha's parents. Before dying, Vanitha's father tells Vetri not to spare them. Deivam tries to kill Vetri, but Vetri finishes Deivam and Munna brutally. While away from the village, Ganesan gets informed about Deivam's death. After Deivam's funeral rights, the police take Vetri to Ganesan's house, where Ganesan promises to kill Vetri, who gets arrested and sent to prison. Munna's father pays assassins to kill Vetri, but Vetri defeats them.

Ganesan hears about Vetri's murder attempt in prison, where he kills Munna's father, and dumps his body in front of Vetri's house. Vetri gets released from prison, and Vetri's family persuades him to go to Kodaikanal. Ganesan calls Vetri from his uncle's phone and sends a video of Ganesan's goons killing Pechi and her husband and then calls for Vetri to return from Kodaikanal in order to spare his other family members. Vetri arrives and finishes Ganesan, thus avenging Pechi and her husband's deaths. A few months later, Vetri's niece and Vanitha get married.
