Šmarje (pronounced[ˈʃmaːɾjɛ]) is a settlement in the hills southwest of Ajdovščina in the Littoral region of Slovenia. As well as the main village of Šmarje, it includes three smaller hamlets: Potok, Hrastje, and Jakulini.[2]
