The municipality is divided into the barrios of Casimbas, Casisey Abajo, Casisey Arriba, Guayabal, Palmar, Río Seco, San Andrés, Sigual and Yateras.[3]Jamaica, now seat of Manuel Tames municipality, was part of Yateras until the reform of 1976.
