Vananchal Express

The Vananchal Express is an Express train belonging to Eastern Railway zone that runs between Ranchi Junction and Bhagalpur Junction in India. It is currently being operated with 13403/13404 train numbers on a daily basis.[1] this train is also remembered for the famous Sainthia train collision.[2][3]

Both trains are hauled by an Asansol-based WAP-4 electric locomotive from Ranchi to Andal. From Andal it is hauled by a Jamalpur-based WDM-3A diesel locomotive until Bhagalpur and vice versa.
