Its origins go back to 1987 when it was founded on the tradition of underground culture in the city of Trutnov. Since the Velvet Revolution the festival is held annually and attendance has risen from 1,800 in 1990 to 20,000 in 1995. Since 2013, the exact attendance has not been disclosed.
