From 1936, it was in Sackville Street, London. Sadly, it then had to move due to urban redevelopment, and since 2 April 2024 has been welcoming book collectors at 18 Upper Brook Street, London, W1K 7PU.
John Harrison Stonehouse joined the firm as an apprentice in 1884. He ultimately became the managing director through his skills of literacy, invention, and marketing.[1][2][3][4][5]
