Prairie Township, White County, Indiana

Prairie Township is one of twelve townships in White County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,180 and it contained 1,311 housing units.[1]

Prairie Township was organized in 1834.[2] The township was named for the open prairies within its borders.[3]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 66.61 square miles (172.5 km2), of which 66.59 square miles (172.5 km2) (or 99.97%) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.052 km2) (or 0.03%) is water.[1]
