Tschitschko was born in Timenitz, Carinthia, on 10 January 1908.[1][2] She was educated at the adult training center and worked at a factory.[2] In 1953 she became a member of the municipal council of Klagenfurt.[1] In 1960 she began to work as a board member of the Klagenfurt consumer cooperative.[1] She served as the chair of the Socialist Women of Carinthia.[2]
