Gorkovsky District

Gorkovsky District (Russian: Го́рьковский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Omsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the eastern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,000 square kilometers (1,200 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Gorkovskoye.[1] Population: 20,807 (2010 Census);[2] 24,718 (2002 Census);[7] 28,038 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Gorkovskoye accounts for 25.8% of the district's total population.[2]
