Francis Henry Goodall (January 10, 1838 – April 12, 1925) was a Union Army soldier in the American Civil War who received the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor.[1]
The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to First Sergeant Francis Henry Goodall, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 13 December 1862, while serving with Company G, 11th New Hampshire Infantry, in action at Fredericksburg, Virginia. With the assistance of another soldier First Sergeant Goodall brought a wounded comrade into the lines, under heavy fire.[3]
