The game show features several community groups, which consists of 50 individuals each,[c] where they are asked to complete a line of a song in order for them to receive cash prizes, and a chance to share a winning jackpot of ₱500,000, ₱1,000,000, or ₱2,000,000.
The production of the game show originally started in early-2020, and was set to premiere on March 15, 2020, on ABS-CBN, replacing Gandang Gabi, Vice![6][17][18] however, Vice Ganda, the host for the said game show, revealed in Piling Lucky, a segment of It's Showtime, that the production of the game show is postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, and that the premiere of the game show on March 15 is cancelled.[7][19] Reruns of Gandang Gabi, Vice! temporarily filled in the network's programming until the network's shutdown on May 5, 2020, due to the cease-and-desist order by the National Telecommunications Commission, after the network's legislative franchise have lapsed.[20][21]
Gameplay
Before the show was pre-empted, there can be 100 individuals in a community group, and a community group can win as much as ₱2,000,000, to be shared by everyone.[15] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines and ABS-CBN's franchise renewal controversy, numerous changes were implemented.
A community group consisting of 50 individuals with ages ranging from 18-59, dubbed as the "Songbayanan," will be divided equally into five rows,[c] whose each row is referred to as "SONGpu" (transl. ten, lit. 'ten songs'). Each round, one row will be chosen by the "ChooSera" to play a particular game (includes "Sing in the Blank", "A-B-Sing", "PicSing a Broken Song", "EngliSing ang Lyrics", "TagaliSing", "The ChooSing One", "AYU-Sing Mo", "ReverSing", "LipSing", and the new minigame "Singko Segundo Challenge"). Each game has a different set of mechanics; However, they have the same goal, each contestant has one attempt to complete a line of a song, they will receive ₱1,000 for each correct guess, and the community group gets an additional 2–4 seconds to the Jackpot round's timer, the more correct guesses, the more chances of winning the Jackpot prize. The community group will then get to participate in the Jackpot round ("Everybody GuesSing"), wherein the community group will be naming each song that is being played. If they name all 10 songs, they can share the winning jackpot of ₱1,000,000.[22][23][24]
Sing in the Blank
The initial game played in the show, the main objective of this game is to sing the missing lyrics and fill in the blank. The melody or singing style does not impact the answer; the focus is on providing the correct lyrics of the song. Each correct answer in this game is valued at ₱1,000 and contributes 2 seconds to the jackpot timer.
For a group of 25 players known as SingKo, they are selected to participate in this game. The resident band will initiate the song, and periodically, the song will pause to allow the SingKo players to sing the missing lyrics. Each SingKo player has a time limit of 3 seconds to sing the missing lyrics. Each correct answer given by a SingKo player adds 2 seconds to the Jackpot timer and rewards them with ₱1,000. In the event that a SingKo player fails to complete the missing lyrics, the line will be skipped, and the next player must guess the subsequent line. This process continues until all five players have exhausted their two attempts.[25]
Similarly, for a group of 50 players referred to as SONGpu, the first set of 10 players will engage in this game. The resident band will initiate the song, and at intervals, the song will pause for the SONGpu players to sing the missing lyrics. Each SONGpu player is granted a time limit of 3 seconds to sing the missing lyrics. Each correct answer given by a SONGpu player adds 2 seconds to the Jackpot timer and rewards them with ₱1,000. Each player has only one attempt to "sing in the blank."[26]
In the season finale, this game showed two rows of players that will participate in the game. The first SONGpu row will play the first round, followed by the second SONGpu row playing the second round. As always, the resident band will initiate the song, and at intervals, the song will pause for the SONGpu players to sing the missing lyrics. Each SONGpu player has a time limit of 3 seconds to sing the missing lyrics. Each correct answer provided by a SONGpu player adds 1 second to the Jackpot timer and rewards them with ₱1,000. Each player has only one attempt to "sing in the blank."[27]
PicSing a Broken Song
This game follows the completion of "Sing in the Blank" and aims to "fix" a "broken song" by utilizing picture clues displayed on the screen, allowing players to accumulate extra time for the jackpot round. Each correct answer in this game corresponds to 2 seconds of jackpot time and rewards the player with ₱1,000.
For a group of 25 players referred to as SingKo, they will actively participate in this game while the resident band initiates the song. At intervals, the song will momentarily pause as a picture clue is flashed on the screen. The objective for the five players is to "fix" the "broken song" by providing the correct lyrics, thus adding 2 seconds to the jackpot round and earning ₱1,000. Failure to do so within the time limit will result in the line being skipped, and the next player must attempt to guess the subsequent line. This process will continue until all players have exhausted their two attempts.[28]
Similarly, for a group of 50 players known as SONGpu, they will take part in this game as the resident band begins playing the song. Periodically, the song will pause as a picture clue is displayed on the screen. Each player will have only one attempt to "fix" the "broken song" by providing the correct lyrics. Failure to do so will result in not contributing 2 seconds to the jackpot timer and not receiving ₱1,000.[29]
Lastly, for a group of 100 players consisting of two sets of 10 players, similar to the previous groups, the song will briefly stop as a picture clue is shown on the screen. The objective remains the same for the ten players in each set: to "fix" the "broken song" by providing the correct lyrics, thus contributing 2 seconds to the jackpot round and earning ₱1,000. Failure to do so within the time limit will result in the line being skipped, and the next player must guess the subsequent line.[30]
A-B-Sing
The second season introduced two new minigames, one of which is "A-B-Sing". This addition made its debut during the "50 Funeral & Cemetery Workers" episode on October 29, 2022, serving as a substitute for "PicSing a Broken Song".
In this new game, participants are tasked with singing the complete lyrics using picture clues displayed on the screen. However, the current minigame shifts its focus. The mechanics are straightforward: 10 players must deduce the missing word by utilizing the first letter of the absent lyrics. The clue provided by the resident band is determined by the number of syllables required to complete the missing word. For instance, if the missing lyric is "singing", the resident band will sing "S-S" as the clue.
In the case of a group of 50 players, the subsequent set of 10 players will engage in this game. The resident band will initiate the song, and there will be a brief pause to allow the players to guess the exact and correct lyrics. Each SONGpu player is given a limited time of 3 seconds to make their guess. In the event that a SONGpu player fails to guess the correct lyrics within the allocated time, the line will be skipped, and the next player in line must make their attempt to guess the subsequent line. Each correct answer provided by a SONGpu player is worth 2 seconds towards the Jackpot timer and rewards them with ₱1,000.[31]
EngliSing ang Lyrics
EngliSing ang Lyrics focuses on translation, where the selected group is tasked with converting Tagalog words into their English counterparts. The song performed by the resident band will be in the English language. Each correct answer in this game is valued at 2 seconds towards the jackpot timer and ₱1,000.
For a group of 25 players, they will actively participate in this game. The resident band will commence playing the song, and at specific intervals, the song will briefly pause to allow for the translation of Tagalog words into English. Each player will have a time limit of 3 seconds to provide the correct translation. Failure to do so within the allocated time will result in the player not receiving the 2 seconds towards the Jackpot timer and ₱1,000. In such cases, the line will be skipped, and the next SingKo member must attempt to guess the subsequent line. This process will continue until all players have exhausted their two attempts.[32]
Similarly, for a group of 50 players referred to as SONGpu, they will partake in this game. The resident band will initiate the song, and there will be a momentary pause to allow the players to translate Tagalog words into English within 3 seconds. If a player fails to provide the correct translation within the time limit, they will not receive ₱1,000 and will not contribute 2 seconds towards the Jackpot timer. Each player will have only one attempt.[33]
Lastly, for a group of 100 players consisting of two rows of SONGpu, they will take turns playing this game. The resident band will begin playing the song, and during specific breaks, the song will pause, granting players a brief opportunity of 3 seconds to translate Tagalog words into English. Failing to provide the correct translation within the given time will result in the player not receiving ₱1,000 and not contributing 2 seconds towards the Jackpot timer. Each player will have only one chance to make their translation attempt.[34]
TagaliSing
TagaliSing presents an intriguing twist as it serves as the antithesis of EngliSing ang Lyrics. In this game, the chosen row of participants will be tasked with translating English words into Tagalog equivalents. The song performed by the resident band will be in the Tagalog language.
For a group of 25 players, they will engage in this game. The resident band will play the song and briefly pause, providing a short window for the player to convert the English lyrics into Tagalog counterparts. Each correct answer will contribute 2 seconds to the Jackpot timer and reward the player with ₱1,000. This process will continue until all players have exhausted their two attempts.[35]
Likewise, for a group of 50 players, they will partake in this game. The resident band will play the song and pause momentarily, allowing the players to undertake the task of translating the English lyrics into Tagalog. A correct answer will grant the player 2 seconds towards the Jackpot timer and an amount of ₱1,000.[36]
Vice Sing Ganda
Vice Sing Ganda is exclusively dedicated to the viewers at home. Vice Ganda will engage the audience by asking a thought-provoking question, usually crafted to be either related to his costume or the Songbayanan at play. To win a cash prize of ₱5,000, viewers must share their response on Twitter using the following format: "Vice Sing Ganda <the letter of their answer> + the current episodes' hashtag", which is shown on the lower-left corner of the screen. After a commercial break, Vice will unveil the correct answer, followed by the announcement of the episode's home winner. That episode's winner will then be asked to wait for the official text of the show's social media accounts to claim their prize.
The ChooSing One
The ChooSing One involves choosing the correct set of lyrics. Two choices will be presented, one being right and the other wrong. Each correct answer will add 2 seconds to the jackpot timer and reward the player with ₱1,000.
For a group of 25 players, the chosen participants will join in playing this game. As always, the resident band will play the song while singing two versions of the lyrics—one correct and one incorrect. A correct answer will contribute 2 seconds to the Jackpot timer and earn the player ₱1,000. If a player fails to provide the correct set of lyrics within 3 seconds, the line will be skipped, and the next player must make their selection. This process will continue until all players have used their two guesses.[37]
In the case of a group of 50 players, the chosen participants will participate in the game. The resident band will perform the song while presenting two versions of the lyrics—one correct and one incorrect. Each correct answer will add 2 seconds to the Jackpot timer and reward the player with ₱1,000. If a player fails to identify the correct lyrics within 3 seconds, the line will be skipped, and the next player must choose the next correct set of lyrics.[38]
Lastly, for a group of 100 players comprising two selected groups, the game will unfold similarly. The resident band will perform the song while singing two versions of the lyrics—one correct and one incorrect. A correct answer from any player will contribute 1 second to the Jackpot timer and earn the player ₱1,000. If a player fails to provide the correct set of lyrics within 3 seconds, the line will be skipped, and the next player in line must choose the next correct set of lyrics.[39]
ReverSing
ReverSing is a challenge to transpose reversed lyrics back to their correct position. Typically, this game is played as the final game by a row before advancing to the jackpot round.
In the case of 25 players, the last selected group will participate in this game. The resident band will play the song, and as a clue, they will sing the lyrics in reverse. The task of the SingKo players is to transpose the reversed lyrics to their original state. Each player is given a time limit of 3 seconds to provide their answer. Each correct answer in this game is rewarded with 4 seconds added to the Jackpot timer and ₱1,000. However, if a player fails to provide the correct lyrics, the line will be disqualified, and the next player in line will attempt to transpose the next set of reversed lyrics. This process continues until all players have utilized their two attempts.[40]
For a group of 50 players, the last selected group will engage in the same game, with the resident band playing the song and singing the lyrics in reverse as a clue. The objective remains the same: transpose the reversed lyrics to their original form. Each player has 3 seconds to provide their answer, and each correct response adds 4 seconds to the Jackpot timer and ₱1,000. In the event of an incorrect answer, the line will be disqualified, and the next player will tackle the subsequent set of reversed lyrics.[41]
In the case of 100 players, the last two groups of the playing community will participate in this game, with the resident band playing the song and providing the reversed lyrics as a clue. The task remains consistent across the game: transpose the reversed lyrics to their original position. Each player is allowed 3 seconds to give their answer, and each correct response contributes 2 seconds to the Jackpot timer and ₱1,000. Should a player provide an incorrect answer, the line will be disqualified, and the next player will tackle the next set of reversed lyrics.[42]
LipSing
LipSing involves players accurately guessing the lyrics by watching a video clip of a lip syncing the correct lyrics, while the audio is muted. It was introduced during the "25 Street Vendors" episode of the first season of Everybody, Sing! on July 24, 2021.
In the case of 25 players, the last group selected will participate in this game, accompanied by the resident band playing the song. However, the song briefly pauses when a muted video of a lip syncing the lyrics appears on the screen. Each correct answer provided by a player is rewarded with 4 seconds added to the timer and ₱1,000. If a player is unable to provide the correct order of the lyrics within 3 seconds, the line will be skipped, and the next player must attempt to guess the correct lyrics based on the muted video of the lip syncing.[43]
Ayu-SING Mo
Ayu-SING Mo is a new minigame introduced in the second season of the show It requires players to arrange a set of four jumbled lyrics into the correct sequence. This minigame serves as an alternative to the ReverSing segment and was featured in the "50 Funeral & Cemetery Workers" episode on October 29, 2022.
In the case of 50 players, the last group selected will participate in this game, accompanied by the resident band playing the song. The objective of this game is to arrange the lyrics in the correct sequence. Each player has 3 seconds to provide the correct order of the lyrics. A correct arrangement of the lyrics is rewarded with 4 seconds added to the timer and ₱1,000. If a player fails to arrange the lyrics correctly within the time limit, the line will be skipped, and the next player must attempt to arrange the next set of lyrics.[44]
Singko Segundo Challenge
The Singko Segundo Challenge (lit. 'Five-Second Challenge'). is a minigame is played before the jackpot round. Introduced on the second season, the purpose of this challenge is to give the Songbayanan an opportunity to add 5 seconds to their jackpot timer.
After all the groups have played their respective games, the Songbayanan will select a representative known as the Repre-SING-tative for the pre-jackpot round. Once the representative is chosen, their task is to guess the song sung by Vice Ganda, using only a relevant word based on the Songbayanan. For instance, if the Songbayanan are beauticians, the word that Vice will sing will be "kilay" ("eyebrow"). Vice Ganda will give his signal to the representative to provide their answer after he finishes singing the tune of the song.[45]
Everybody GuesSing?
After completing five or ten games, the Songbayanan will participate in the jackpot round called "Everybody GuesSing?". In this round, they need to correctly guess 10 song titles, typically OPM (Original Pilipino Music), to win the jackpot prize. The time available for this round will be the cumulative jackpot seconds earned by the five or ten rows during the introductory games.
For the case of 25 players, the countdown of their earned time will begin once the resident band starts playing the first song. Their objective in this final game is to win the jackpot round. Each of the 25 players is allowed to provide an answer only once by pressing their individual buzzer. Once they have made their response, they cannot answer again. Each correct guess is valued at ₱5,000. The total prize money they will take home will be multiplied by the number of correct answers. For example, if the Songbayanan guessed 8 correct song titles, they would receive ₱40,000, with each player receiving ₱1,600. However, if a player's guess is incorrect, they can make another guess only if there is sufficient time remaining. The game concludes under two conditions: either all players have used their attempt, or there is no remaining time. However, if they manage to guess all 10 song titles correctly, they can take home the jackpot prize worth ₱500,000, and each player will receive ₱20,000.[46]
For the case of 50 players, the rules remain the same as before. However, each correct song title is now worth ₱10,000. Similarly, if they guess all 10 song titles correctly without utilizing their entire jackpot time, they can claim the jackpot prize worth ₱1,000,000, with each player receiving ₱20,000.
For the case of 100 players, the rules are the same as before. Due to the larger number of participants, each correct song title now carries a value of ₱100,000. Likewise, if they correctly guess all 10 song titles without using their complete jackpot time, they can claim the jackpot prize worth ₱2,000,000, and each player will receive ₱20,000.

Episodes
As of February 5, 2023, "Everybody, Sing!" has aired a total of 76 episodes. This includes the first season, the 100 Songbayanan Special, and the second season.
Twelve (12) Songbayanan groups have successfully won the jackpot prize. Among them, seven (7) groups won the jackpot prize during the first season, while five (5) groups won the jackpot prize during the second season. These numbers include both jackpot and non-jackpot winners.
During the first season, Everybody, Sing! awarded a total amount of nine million and thirty thousand pesos (₱9,030,000). In the second season, the game show gave away a total amount of four million, eight hundred eighty thousand pesos (₱4,880,000). Therefore, the overall total prize money awarded throughout both seasons amounts to thirteen million, nine hundred ten thousand pesos (₱13,910,000).
100 Songbayanan Special
The show aired its original iteration of the series dubbed as the 100 Songbayanan Special after the 25 Perya Performers episode starting on September 25, 2021, and was aired for three consecutive weeks until October 10, 2021, in celebration for the finale of the first season. The episodes shown were taped before the COVID-19 pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown and legislative franchise denial.[55] [56]
The game was originally played with five games, consisting of two rounds per game that were played by two different groups, whose each row is referred to as SONGpu (lit. 'ten'), and the group that will play each game will be still randomly chosen by ChooSera. Once a group has been chosen to play a game, each correct lyric that a contestant gives will receive one-thousand pesos (₱1,000) if he or she sings his/her assigned line correctly (that will be also instantly given to them after their game) and adds one second to their jackpot timer.
The first five (or in rare cases, six) rounds will be aired on a Saturday episode, while the remaining five (or four) rounds and the Jackpot round will be played on a Sunday episode.
Once all ten groups have played, the Songbayanan will then proceed to the Jackpot round, where all of them must accurately name ten song titles using their collected time from the preliminary rounds. The same mechanics are in place as with the modified version, where all contestants are only allowed to answer once. Once they have touched their individual buzzer to respond, they are unable to do so again.
One hundred thousand pesos (₱100,000) is given to the Songbayanan per every song title that they correctly guess. Just like the modified version, the basis for their take-home prize money will be multiplied to the number of their correct answers. For example, if a Songbayanan had only guessed 7 correct song titles, then they will only take home seven hundred thousand pesos (₱700,000) and each contestant will only receive seven thousand pesos (₱7,000) each. However, if the Songbayanan correctly guesses all ten song titles without fully consuming their jackpot timer, they will take home and divide equally the jackpot prize of two million pesos (₱2,000,000), with each individual receiving twenty thousand pesos (₱20,000) each.
The 100 Taal Survivors were the only group that took home and divided equally the two-million peso jackpot prize. Their episode was aired during the final week of the first season, which was on October 9–10, 2021.[57]
This format is expected to be used on the third season.
Reception
During the pilot episode of the game show on June 5, 2021, the episode received an 1.8% rating from AGB Nielsen Philippines,[58][59] and the hashtag #EverybodySing became the top trending hashtag in Twitter nationwide.[59] LionhearTV, an entertainment news website, wrote "ABS-CBN's new singing game show [Everybody Sing] is a blast of fun, excitement, and inspiration, as it unites Filipino communities and working groups from every walk of life." They also added, "There has been a bunch of game shows with similar formats, but this one differs in its unique motive to unite community groups, and by highlighting the undying ‘Bayanihan’ spirit."[60]
