Bezenchuksky District

Bezenchuksky District (Russian: Безенчу́кский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,988.8 square kilometers (767.9 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Bezenchuk.[2] Population: 42,095 (2010 Census);[4] 43,571 (2002 Census);[10] 44,003 (1989 Soviet census).[11] The population of Bezenchuk accounts for 54.5% of the district's total population.[4]
